Part 3

Broomfield/Denver Weather


It is easy to get current and forecasted weather information at the weather sites.

"Current" means right now.

"Forecast" means what is going to happen tomorrow and the next day.

Use Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary for other words you don't know.


Directions for Part 3:

 

  1. Print these directions. Go to the [File Menu] and choose "Print" or press APPLE-P. Keep the paper and check off the parts you finish.

  2. USA Today's Weather Page lets you find information for different cities.

  3. Look at the parts of the USA Today Weather page then click on the words "USA Today" anywhere on this page.

  4. Click on the {U.S. Cities button}.

  5. Use the {By State button} to choose Colorado.

  6. Click on "Denver".

  7. Answer these weather questions about Broomfield and the Denver area. Fill in the answers on your printed copy. Answer in full sentences. Use a capital and a period.

    1. What is the current date and time?

    2. What is the current temperature?

    3. How fast is the wind blowing?
    -
    4. What direction is the wind blowing from?

    5. Is it cloudy or sunny ?

    6. What is the forecast for 3 days from today?

  8. Give it to the teacher.
