Directions for Part 3 Using Netscape:
I want to print the picture:
- Print these directions. Go to the [File Menu] and choose "Print" or press APPLE-P. Keep the paper and check off the parts you finish.
- You should only print 2 pictures.
- Find the Internet page that has the picture that you want.
- You can print the whole page with APPLE-P but that wastes a lot of expensive ink.
- If you just want the picture printed but not the rest of the page follow the rest of these instructions.
- Click and hold the mouse button down on the picture.
- A menu will appear next to your mouse.
- Choose "Open this image".
- Press APPLE-P. Wait for it to print.
- Click the {Back} button.
I want to save the picture for use later in another program like ClarisWorks or HyperStudio:
- Print these directions. Go to the [File Menu] and choose "Print" or press APPLE-P. Keep the paper and check off the parts you finish.
- Find the Internet page that has the picture that you want.
- Click and hold the mouse button down on the picture.
- A menu will appear next to your mouse.
- Choose "Copy this image".
- The picture is now in the computer's memory but you have to do something with it.
I want the computer to keep the picture until I need it again.
- Click and hold on the [Apple Menu].
- Drag down to "Scrapbook" and let go of the mouse button.
- Click and hold on the [Edit Menu].
- Drag down to "Paste" and let go of the mouse button.
- Now the picture is saved.
- Later, go back to the Scrapbook and "copy" it again.
- Then follow the rest of the directions below.
I want to put the picture into a document right now.
- Press APPLE-Q to quit Netscape.
- Start ClarisWorks, HyperStudio or KidPix2.
- Click and hold on the [Edit Menu].
- Drag down to "Paste" and let go of the mouse button.
- Now the picture is in a document.
- See your teacher for help with changing it or moving it.
