Solar System Activity for 4th Grade
Ask a Scientist a Question
You can send a question to a scientist about your planet. Or read other questions that have been sent.
These should be questions that are NOT answered on the solar system sites that you have explored.
Always check with your teacher before actually sending a question. We don't want to waste the scientists' time with questions that we can answer ourselves.
Directions for Part 6:
- Print these directions. Go to the [File Menu] and choose "Print" or press APPLE-P. Keep the paper and check off the parts you finish.
- Go to the Windows of the Universe site.
- Click "Enter the Site". It is at the top of the page.
- Click "Ask a Scientist". It is at the bottom of the page.
- Explore the "Ask a Scientist" area. There are lots of interesting questions that have already been answered. Be sure to find the "Quickie Questions" area.
- BEFORE you send your own question, CHECK with your teacher. It might have been answered already and you will need an E-Mail address (your teacher has one) for the answer.
- If you really have a question to send, find the "submit your own question" link (at the bottom of the page).
- Fill in all of the blanks.
- Check your spelling.
- Click the
button.
- Remind your teacher to check his/her e-mail for an answer. It will take a few days, at least!
