Browse for Information About A Planet
There are several Internet sites with information about the solar system and space. You should find out all you can about the planet you are researching. The links (blue underlined names) below are good places to start.
"Browse" means to read, look, study, and check it out. Click on buttons. Pay attention to what is on the screen. Look at the pictures. You do not have to read every word but if you don't read anything, you won't know anything.
Directions for Part 2:
- Print these directions. Go to the [File Menu] and choose "Print" or press APPLE-P. Keep the paper and check off the parts you finish.
- Click on "An Overview of the Solar System" below. Explore the first 2 pictures that show up. They will give you an idea about how far away the planets are from the sun.
- Then explore at least 2 of the other links below.
- Look for information about your planet at each one.
- Make bookmarks or favorites when you find something good. (See part #1 for help)
- Be ready to tell your teacher what you learned.

When using this site, click on the beginner tab when you see it. It looks like this: There are a lot of pictures on this Internet site. Remember, you can click the "Stop" button at the top of the screen to stop and go back or click a different link. |
