Internet Research Activity for Elementary Students

Part 4

Key Word Searching at Google

Google is one of the fastest searching sites on the Internet. Most elementary students won't need to use it.

It is used for finding very specific sites on the Internet.

For example, if you search for "football", you will get 20 million "hits"!

"Hits" are sites that contain the key word.

If you search for "football+Denver", you will get 500,000 hits.

If you search for "football+Denver+Broncos", you will still get 139,000 hits.

Maybe you should have tried typing "www.denverbroncos.com" into the address box!
